Feb. 14 Teresa Bowers – Recognizing when to ask for help and the blessing of
accepting it
Teresa Bowers is a retired Occupational Therapist specializing in the fields of behavioral health and geriatrics. She practiced primarily in the home health setting. Additionally, she served for 14 years as the Director of the Senior Visitors Program at Mental Health America of Fredericksburg, which is a volunteer - based visitation program for lonely, isolated senior citizens. Currently she is the Health Innovation Navigator for Micah Ecumenical Ministries, which is a collaboration of churches working together under one non-profit umbrella, to cultivate community and care for the homeless neighbors in the Fredericksburg community. She has been instrumental in developing the Health Ministry at Micah, since April of 2022, which includes helping our homeless neighbors screen for health needs and then access primary care and other partners in the community to assist with those health needs.
January 10 - Dr. Eva J. Brown – Building resilience EVENT HAS PASSED
Dr. Brown is a visionary leader, educator, and administrator dedicated to excellence and has
transformed ministries, institutions, and communities across the nation. As a distinguished
member of the Board of Directors of Global Oved Dei Seminary & University (GODSUL), Dr.
Brown serves in dual capacities as Dean of Chaplains and Director of Administration. Her
steadfast leadership and strategic insight have been vital to GODSUL’s mission of preparing
visionary leaders to serve, lead, and prosper.

Dr. Tony Maggio is an alumnus of Duquesne University, having earned a B.A., M.S., and Doctorate there. His work involved programs for adolescents and young adults experiencing drug and alcohol addition, eating disorders, suicidal ideation, loss, and physical and emotional stress. EVENT HAS PASSED

Jan. 31 Tracy Hess – God-led relationships with nutrition and exercise EVENT HAS PASSED
Tracy Hess is a physical therapist and health and life coach with years of experience
supporting clients struggling with movement and nutrition. Tracy intimately understands the
frustration, anxiety, and sense of defeat that can accompany physical and dietary challenges
and is dedicated to guiding people towards a healthier relationship with food and exercise. EVENT HAS PASSED
Feb. 7 Dr. Ron Rodman - Music and the Mind EVENT HAS PASSED
Dr. Rodman is a retired Professor and Department of Music Chair of Carleton College in Northfield, MN. He is a co-editor of The Oxford Handbook of Music and Television (Oxford University Press, 2023) and (The Oxford Handbook of Music and Advertising. Oxford University Press, 2021) and author of many articles and book chapters on various musical topics. He has presented, lectured, and taught across the US and in Finland. EVENT HAS PASSED
